Meeting at the Dome (09/Abril/2018)
In this morning we worked on building ideas, defining key-words and looking at related work. We discussed about how would be our approach with the counterpart ideas and requirements.
We also worked on broaden our understanding of what is: technology, high technology, low technology, etc (see figure 1). In addition Jesus brought a picture with intersection points among the countries with high rates of longevity (called blue zones) see figure 2.
PUC – San Joaquin (09/Abril/2018)
This week at the Thinking Lab. Design we attend the students presentations about “Antecedentes, references and practical marginales“. In these presentations the students showed the process of reverse engineering as a way to learn, to understand and implement different things on their own projects.
In addition, in this class the students were warned about developing an Interview Protocol to have concise and the same questions in different interviews.
Another concept presented by the professor Constanza was Qualitative Analysis of Text. Different techniques can be adopted when analyzing a paper, one recommended by the professor was Text Coding, were different color with distinct meaning of field studied can be used to highlight the text.
Counterpart Meeting (09/Abril/2018)
In this meeting, Pablo, the representative of the Fundación Oportunidad Mayor contextualized the problem of the increase in the number of seniors and their difficulties when it comes to adapting to technology. The requirements were presented and Pablo showed himself very optimistic and open to different approaches for the possible solutions being developed by this team.
After the counterpart meeting, a brief meeting with the team was held outside the Design Lab to discuss about next steps and meetings.
Duoc – San Joaquin (10/Abril/2018)
At DuoC we attend a lecture given by professor Laura (see figure 7). This lecture was about how to approach the elderly when interviewing them. Besides, we learned about how important is to have questions that are about: personal data, daily activities, how do they interact with technology, what are their aspirations and problems.
After this class, the team went to the Design Lab to define approaches, and possible questions for the interview.
Meeting at the Dome (11/Abril/2018)
In this meeting we defined: the profile of the people we intend to interview, the institutions we will visit and the people we may know and that can be interviewed by us (see figure 9).
In this meeting the slide scheme was defined, the moodboard creation process was started, and a few more papers were reviewed.
PUC – San Joaquin (11/Abril/2018)
This day we watched the reformulated presentations of the students.
Then, professor Constanza mentioned the importance of drawing sketches to show marginal practices. A video teaching how to do basic sketches was presented.
The professor mentioned that we should try to draw sketches the most quantity we Drawing sketches is a Cognitive Analysis.

Presentation at the Dome (12/Abril/2018)
This day we presented our progress, the moodboard (figure 11), key-words (figure 12), summary of the literature review, the interview protocol, and letter of consent.
After the presentation, three members (Ana Sofia, Jesus e Leví) went to Ñuble to observe seniors.
After the presentation, three members (Ana Sofia, Leví, Natália) went to the Plaza de Armas to see seniors behaviors.
Two interviews were conducted by Ana Sofia, Jesus and Levi.
One interview was conducted by Jesus and Natália.
